| Jedi Knights Win at Eugene, 2-0 | New Orleans right-hander Josh LeBlanc made an effective start against the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park, leading his team to a 2-0 win. Matthew Varga was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 14 save opportunities. The Jedi Knights now have a record of 56-76.
Had Bobby Paszkiewicz not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Paszkiewicz hit a 2-run double. That made the score 2-0, in favor of the Jedi Knights.
"Josh's tempo and rhythm were good," said Jedi Knights manager Pedro Gonzáles. "He was the key to us winning."
