| Sting Drop Another One | The San Angelo Mustangs got a stellar performance from pitcher Victor Benavirez, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a 7-1 win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Benavirez got the win, improving to 9-14. He allowed 6 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. Benavirez allowed 1 earned run. The misery continues for the Sting, which has now dropped 10 in a row.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from third baseman Josue Gracia. For the game, Gracia was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 24th double of the season gave San Angelo a 2-0 lead.
