The Houston Sting and Victoria Vikings left the fans buzzing.

Victoria Vikings starter Jermão Corvite kept the Houston Sting hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-1 win. With the win, Victoria has a record of 67-41. Houston falls to 41-67.

Matt Cochran had a big 2-run double for the Vikings in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Victoria leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Danny Umanzor and swatted a double to right. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vikings ahead, 5-1.

"Jermão gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Victoria skipper Jim Edwards.
