Guest Warriors Win, 2-0, at St. Petersburg
|
Moose Jaw got a first-rate effort from pitcher Roberto Molina, who frustrated St. Petersburg hitters en route to a 2-0 Warriors triumph at Billy Mathews Field. Molina, now 6-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 5, and allowing no runs. The Warriors move to 70-56 with the win, while the Pelicans drop to 24-101.
Moose Jaw used the timely hitting of Miguel Rosas to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Warriors on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Rosas said.
