Ottawa got a first-rate effort from pitcher Chris Haines, who frustrated Ocala hitters en route to a 2-1 Civics triumph at Civics Field. The winning pitcher was Haines, now 5-2. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. The losing streak for Ocala has now reached 5 games.
Bobby Krebsbach drove in one run for Ottawa. The 21-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Luis Sosa. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Ocala manager Alexis Coates.
