In a low-scoring affair between the Chicago Eclipse and the Eureka Hornets, pitcher Jesse Hemmelgarn was the difference between victory and defeat. The Chicago right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Eclipse win. The save went to Joe Umlah, number 9 for him. Chicago is now 26-27, Eureka 30-23.

Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Luis Matos to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Chicago manager Zayar Adelabu.
