The Bighorn Bison and Quebec Armada played an entertaining game for Lucky 7 Ballpark patrons.

Quebec shortstop Fernando Puente had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Puente was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, even as Bighorn beat the Armada, 5-4. Mike Lake closed out the game, earning his 13th save.

Had Chris Crofts not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Crofts hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bison.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Crofts told the Bighorn Gazette.

Bighorn, at 32-29, sits in second place in the Thurman Munson League West Division.
