Nosediving Bush Wackers Lose, 7-1

The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws polished off the Brisbane Bush Wackers by the score of 7-1. The largest share of the credit belonged to center fielder Tim Barrett. Barrett went 2-5 with 2 home runs for the Dancin' Outlaws. Sam Orton was the winner. He's now 7-9. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Landin. The Dancin' Outlaws improved their record to 65-58 with the win over Brisbane.
Bryan Wagoner had a big 2-run home run for the Dancin' Outlaws in the top of the third inning. With West Virginia leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Landin and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 28th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dancin' Outlaws ahead, 3-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Brisbane manager Charlie Hide.
