| Black Squirrels Solve Emeralds, 6-3 | The Tree City Black Squirrels topped the Eugene Emeralds, 6-3, in Donnie Moore League action at The Nut House. The player of the game was Tree City pitcher and Toronto, Canada native Larry Sceviour. Sceviour got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Sceviour allowed 3 earned runs. Chris Long, credited with the save, is now 19 for 20 in save opportunities.
The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from shortstop Li-cong Ju. For the game, Ju went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Tree City a 3-0 lead.
Ju told a Tree City Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
