| Win Streak Now at 6 for Lake Monsters | Chippewa center fielder Gilberto Perez had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Perez went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs, even as Okanagan beat the River Chiefs, 4-3. Perez was named the player of the game despite the loss. Aaron Lentz earned his 27th save in 28 chances. The Lake Monsters, at 76-44, have now won 6 straight.
Leo Martinez helped out the Okanagan cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Okanagan manager Stu Yarbrough.
