The Brisbane Bush Wackers stopped the Marshall Lawmen, 6-4, at Baylor Ballpark. The Bush Wackers got a big game from Dave Swanson, who was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bill Robies got the win, improving to 7-14. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Brisbane is now 48-54, Marshall 55-47.
With Brisbane leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Swanson hit a fastball from Brendan Field for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Bush Wackers ahead, 2-0.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Swanson.
