The 8-6 Ottawa win over Victoria was due largely to Neil Flaming. The Civics first baseman hit 2 home runs. Billy Regent picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Francisco Guevara was tagged with the loss. Greg Pond earned the save for Ottawa, his 30th of the year.

Alfonso Perez was 1-4 with a double and a walk for Ottawa. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Francisco Guevara. It was his 34th walk of the season.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Flaming.

The first-place Civics improved to 86-32.
