The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Chippewa River Chiefs cut down the St. Paul Saints by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Mike Devine. Devine went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the River Chiefs. Paul Cummins earned save number 2.
