The Buffalo Bison withstood a fine game by Chicago center fielder Israel Cardenas at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium, to upend the Eclipse, 8-7. Cardenas was 3-4 with 2 home runs. Buffalo reliever Brendon Wager picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Brendan Tucker was saddled with the loss. The save was credited to Carlos Acevez, his 2nd.

Cliff Millar, who led the TML in slugging percentage with .644 in 2063, took Chicago hurler Brendan Tucker deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run home run put the Bison on top, 8-6. In all, Millar had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Buffalo manager Jon Green.

The loss makes Chicago 38-23.
