Martians Deal Dancin' Outlaws Painful Loss
|
Behind the bravura of first baseman Joe Pinkham, the Moonbeam Martians topped the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws by the score of 5-4. Pinkham was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Martians. Moonbeam is sailing along at 89-27.
Bryan Sartor was the walk-off hero for Moonbeam. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Martians left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Sartor said.
