| Vikings Topple Bush Wackers with Late Rally | The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a superb performance from pitcher Dedrick Savage. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Dublin. The Vikings won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Savage was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Dublin reliever Matt Hendricksen was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Billy Boyd. The Vikings bumped their record to 64-54 with this latest triumph.
It could have been a different outcome for Dublin, had it not been for Nick Fordyce, the 22-year old right fielder . Fordyce contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Dublin up, 4-3.
"We take it day by day here," said Fordyce, "and today was a good one for us."
