Davis Silences Chicago Bats
Jeremy Davis never let Chicago get something going. The Jacksonville right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Pilots to a 5-1 win. With the victory, the Pilots upped their record to 32-28.

It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Davis, who tallied 8 strikeouts in 6 innings and allowed only 1 hit. Davis, who is tied for 5th in the TML with a 7.8 K/9 rate, raised his record to 5-3 on the year with 57 strikeouts.

"Jeremy has got a slow heartbeat," said Jacksonville manager Ryan Currie. "He doesn't panic or anything."
