Bison Topple Tornadoes with Late Rally
The Kansas City Tornadoes got a sterling performance from center fielder Eddie Escobar, but the Buffalo Bison still prevailed, 8-7. Escobar went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Bobby Milleville nailed down the save. The first-place Bison bumped their record to 29-22.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Landon Michaels came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Kansas City pitcher Manuel Zepeda, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Buffalo on top, 8-7.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Michaels. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
