Bel Air Beats Campo, 6-5

The Bel Air Princes and Campo NoBos played an entertaining game for Valhalla Summit patrons.
Campo shortstop Luis Mercado had a good game, even if his team did not. The NoBos dropped a 6-5 decision to Bel Air at Valhalla Summit. Mercado was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Gustavo Castro, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Rowland Lester earned the save for Bel Air, his 6th of the year.
Bel Air took the lead, 6-3, on Danny Soto's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Campo pitcher Jordan Lopez in the top of the eighth.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Soto told the Bel Air Daily.
The first-place Princes now have a record of 67-50.
