Dancin' Outlaws Score Late to Upend River Bandits, 5-2
|
The San Antonio River Bandits could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Mike Ratto into a win. Instead, the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws prevailed, 5-2. Ratto threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. After today's action, West Virginia sits at 40-58, while San Antonio falls to 56-43.
West Virginia took the lead, 5-2, on Juan Reyes's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off San Antonio pitcher Nolan Maughan in the bottom of the eighth.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Dancin' Outlaws manager Guy de Kleijn. "This one was nice to get."
