Blues Deal Panthers 4-0 Loss
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Memphis Blues and Charleston Panthers.
Behind an impressive start by Scott Stinson, Memphis beat Charleston, 4-0. Picking up the save was Bobby Gottlieb, his 14th.
Travis Skarda, who is tied for 10th in the TA in stolen bases with 9, had a direct impact on the outcome. Skarda contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Memphis up, 1-0.
"I thought Scott threw the ball well across the board," said Memphis manager Mike Williams.
Memphis, now 55-42, holds down 5th place in the TML A Earl Weaver Division.
