Santos Machain, who is tied for 7th in the RA in innings pitched with 132.1, was terrific for the Brisbane Bush Wackers in his team's 9-1 triumph over the Eugene Emeralds. His performance earned Machain rave reviews. The winning pitcher was Machain, now 7-10. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The Bush Wackers have now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Lee Barnard helped out the Brisbane cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances.
