The Chippewa River Chiefs knocked off the Oconomowoc Five O's, 8-3, in TML A action at Arnold Field. Chippewa pitcher and Jamestown, New York, native Dan Schmus had an outstanding performance. Michael Melis, now 5-3, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The 5th-place River Chiefs are 51-44.
