The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws handed the St. Petersburg Pelicans a 5-4 defeat at Billy Mathews Field. Shortstop Chris Parsons starred for West Virginia. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. Danny Acosta recorded the save, making him 4 for 5. St. Petersburg's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Bryan Wagoner delivered a big hit for West Virginia. The second baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dancin' Outlaws ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Both teams played hard," said West Virginia manager Guy de Kleijn.
