The skies opened up and the rain fell at Franklin Mountains Field.

Angel Sanchez was locked and loaded, helping the Victoria Vikings beat the Charleston Panthers, 6-1. The setback makes Charleston 51-56.

Victoria relied on the hitting of Alex Najera to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Vikings on top, 3-0. For the game, Najera had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Victoria manager . "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
