Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Nichols Gnats and Kingwood Knights.

Nichols first baseman Jack Gosse was a significant contributor in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Kingwood Knights. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk for the Gnats. Eddie Enriquez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-5 on the season. Mike Casper suffered the loss. Picking up his 18th save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Harry Fielding.

Gosse had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Mike Casper, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Gnats a 5-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Gosse.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Gosse.

Nichols, now 41-65, holds down 5th place in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division.
