The Mexico City Luchadores stopped the Hawaii Honu, 7-6, at The Royal Grounds. The Luchadores got a big game from Dan Stowers, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Elton Turner notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Hawaii drops to 3-3.

Stowers had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-2 changeup from Chris Sweeney, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Luchadores a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Stowers.

"We got the victory," said Stowers. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
