Ferry 'Lights Out' in New Orleans Win
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights picked up a win at Franklin Mountains Field, knocking off the Charleston Panthers, 3-1. Starting pitcher Danny Ferry, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Ryan Matherne locked down his 7th save. With the win, New Orleans has a record of 43-62. Charleston falls to 39-67.
Ferry, the winner, is now 3-5 after putting the clamps on the Charleston offense. In 7.2 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits, while collecting 11 Ks.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Ferry said.
