Knights Walk Off with 9-5 Win
|
The Kingwood Knights relied on the hitting of pinch hitter Colin Bieri to stop the Williamsport Crosscutters, 9-5. For the game, Bieri was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. With the victory, the Knights record now stands at 51-54.
Bieri had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Pierre Gallet, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Knights a 9-5 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Bieri.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bieri said.
