The San Antonio River Bandits romped over the San Angelo Mustangs, 11-3, at Dr Pepper Stadium. Pete Weaver led the way. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for San Antonio. Earning his 9th save for San Antonio was Rusty Campbell. This win makes it 6 in a row for San Antonio.
San Antonio grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Weaver hit a 3-run home run off Andy Segura. His 4th home run of the season put the River Bandits out in front, 3-0.
