The Okanagan Lake Monsters converted a terrific effort from starter Jorge Alegria into a win over the Chippewa River Chiefs at The Reservation. The Lake Monsters won the game by a final score of 6-0. Alegria yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 9-5. The victory gives Okanagan a record of 57-47.

It could have been a different outcome for Okanagan, had it not been for Chance Cunningham, the 24-year old second baseman . Cunningham contributed a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put Okanagan up, 4-0.

"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Alegria. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
