The Victoria Vikings beat the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 9-5, at The drakkar. Alex Gaona was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 2-2 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 20-year old center fielder was a menace to Okanagan all day. Dave Ontiveros picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 1-0.
