The Brownsville Bandits licked the Carmel Apples, 7-2. Luis Reyes deserved a big chunk of the credit. The first baseman was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Bandits. Alfonso Sorto zipped up his 1st save. Brownsville leads the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division by 4 games.

Brownsville took a 4-1 lead on Sean Baker's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Baker hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Carmel pitcher Manny Vallejo visibly frustrated.
