Panthers Stymie San Antonio, Take 5-0 Win
|
The San Antonio River Bandits and Charleston Panthers brought some excitement to Dr Pepper Stadium.
The Charleston Panthers went home winners at Dr Pepper Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Jeff Roark. Roark silenced the San Antonio River Bandits, enabling Charleston to grab the 5-0 win. Charleston is now 36-66.
Sal Garcia contributed to the Charleston win. The 23-year old catcher stroked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, Garcia was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Roark told the Charleston Citizen.
