Toreros Take Down Earthquakes, 7-6
The San Francisco Earthquakes and Cabo San Lucas Toreros provided some drama for the home crowd.

San Francisco right fielder David Stradtner had a good game, even if his team did not. The Earthquakes dropped a 7-6 decision to Cabo San Lucas at Field de Los Layendas. Stradtner was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Terry Dunne was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Ricardo Claudio.

Cabo San Lucas took a 7-6 lead on Matt Yardley's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Yardley hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Francisco pitcher Ricardo Claudio visibly frustrated.

Yardley said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.

The Toreros now have a record of 21-29 with the win over San Francisco.
