Watson Hits 2 home runs in Princes Win
|
The Bel Air Princes downed the Kingwood Knights, 5-2, at Philip Banks Field. The Princes were led by Steve Watson, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. Edwin Peinado earned the win to go to 5-5. He allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 12 strikeouts. Bill Campos sewed up the save, his 23rd.
Bel Air capitalized on an error in the bottom of the second inning. Bel Air was leading 2-0 when Rogelio Ramos hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Bel Air in front, 4-0.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Watson.
With the win, Bel Air goes to 57-41, while the Knights fall to 47-53.
