Birdwings Earn 8-6 Win Versus Brisbane
|
The inspired effort of Brisbane third baseman Alfonso Valle was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-6, to the Hazleton Birdwings. Valle was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The defeat makes Brisbane 31-68.
Mo Arden helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 5-0, Birdwings.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Arden told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
