Loss to Apples Extends San Angelo Losing Streak
The Carmel Apples defeated the San Angelo Mustangs, 5-3, in part because of left fielder Isaac Parker. Parker was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks for the Apples. Carmel pitcher Ethan White got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Huerta got the loss. Now 17-65, San Angelo has dropped 10 straight.

Carmel designated hitter Ian Dalton contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 54th hit of the season and put the Apples ahead, 2-0.

"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Trey Burrell.
