Victoria Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Theodore McGillis impressed in the 7-5 Victoria win over Nichols. McGillis, who is tied for 8th in the TA with a .633 slugging percentage, was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Victoria pitcher Matt Nicholas got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Dustin Phillips got the loss. The Vikings sit in second place in the TML A Earl Weaver Division with a record of 54-28.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Victoria trailing 5-4, McGillis jumped on a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Dustin Phillips and hit a 3-run home run to center. With one swing, the Vikings had a walk-off win.
