Jacksonville parlayed a decent outing from starter Jeremy Davis into a solid win over the El Paso Mavericks. The final score was 4-3. Jacksonville currently is in first place in the Thurman Munson League East Division at 40-18.

Jacksonville got a knockout punch from Miguel Ruiz. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
