The Manhattan Slice earned a close win over the Hawaii Honu, thanks in part to Jason Leffert. The Manhattan right-hander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2058 draft, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Leffert got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Mario Mirabal wrapped it up, recording his 14th save.

Manhattan used the hitting of Frank Moreno to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Slice on top, 2-0. For the game, Moreno had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager Naoki Okada.

The 4th-place Slice hiked their record to 24-25.
