8-3 Win for Niagara Falls in Extras
The Niagara Falls Barrels picked up a win at Bandits Grove, dropping the Brownsville Bandits, 8-3, in 10 innings. Zach McDermott was the difference-maker. Willie Antonio picked up the win in relief for Niagara Falls, while Danny Trevino took the loss. Jose Rodriguez recorded the save, making him 19 for 23.

Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Bill Chisholm to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Barrels on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Barrels manager Mike Bouffard.

By defeating Brownsville, the third-place Barrels improved to 51-31.
