Road Warriors Subdue Sting, 9-6
|
Westside center fielder Seth Hickman had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Houston Sting, 9-6. Westside reliever Salvador Cruz picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Trent Farmer took the loss. Nate Ezzo finished the game for Westside and earned his 15th save.
Hickman contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Westside get the win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Hickman.
The third-place Road Warriors improved to 54-42.
