Bandits Walk It Off for 47th Win of Season
|
Bel Air got a terrific game from designated hitter Chris Ferris. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Brownsville, 14-13. Ferris slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 6. Brownsville pitcher Justin Andes got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Luis Bautista got the loss. Brownsville is first in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division with a record of 47-33.
Bill Leblanc was the walk-off hero for Brownsville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bandits right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Leblanc.
