The Quebec Armada could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Bruce Gaulton into a win. Instead, the Buffalo Bison prevailed, 5-4. Gaulton threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Gary Halliwell snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Adam Sturm suffered the loss. With the victory, the Bison upped their record to 31-18.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jerry Thomason in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Adam Sturm to win the game for Buffalo. The home crowd went nuts.

"This was a good win," said Thomason.
