The Baltimore Magicians weathered a fine game by St. Petersburg left fielder Joe Flory to upend the Pelicans, 7-5, at Billy Mathews Field. Flory was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Baltimore raised its record to 55-37.

Baltimore used the timely hitting of Aaron Proctor to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Magicians on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

When asked about his performance after the game, Proctor said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
