Armada Suffer 4-3 Loss to Chicago
|
Millennium Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Chicago Eclipse and Quebec Armada.
Chicago pitcher Vitaly Hagurov had a large part in his team beating the Quebec Armada, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Hagurov, now 4-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Picking up his 16th save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Beeks.
The Eclipse got a big at-bat from shortstop Tekle Njoka. For the game, Njoka went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Chicago a 3-0 lead.
"This was a good win," said Njoka.
With the win, the Eclipse sit at 28-22.
