Bush Wackers Suffer 4-1 Loss to Bandits

Dan Savard led Brownsville to a win over Brisbane. The final score was 4-1. Savard scored 2 times, going 3 for 3. He also knocked in 1 RBI. Drew Sherman claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 5-3. The Bandits now have a record of 33-43.
Jayden Fowler had a big run-scoring double for the Bandits in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Brownsville leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Brian Kanthak and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bandits ahead, 2-0.
Savard described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
