Memphis third baseman Bryant McGarr had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. McGarr went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3, even as Moonbeam beat the Blues, 5-4. The win for the Martians raised their record to 75-13.

David Surrett hit a 2-run double off Steve Hart in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Martians in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Surrett had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.

"We'll enjoy this ride as long as it lasts," said Martians manager Daniel Wilson.
