Crosscutters Beat Mustangs, 4-1
|
The Williamsport Crosscutters went home winners at Crosscutters Park, thanks in large part to starter Josh Reddish. Reddish silenced the San Angelo Mustangs, enabling Williamsport to grab the 4-1 win. Reddish picked up the win for Williamsport, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-8. Williamsport is 32-55 and San Angelo, with the loss, 41-44.
The Crosscutters got a big at-bat from second baseman Luis Fernandez, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Crosscutters on top, 1-0.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Fernandez told the Williamsport Daily.
