The Bel Air Princes topped the Houston Sting, 4-3, in RCLA action at Philip Banks Field. The player of the game was Bel Air pitcher Jay Buhner Jr.. Buhner Jr. picked up the win for Bel Air, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. The Princes now own a record of 47-37.
Robby Boyer had a big 2-run double for the Princes in the bottom of the second inning. With Bel Air leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Jerry Davies and stroked the double to center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Princes ahead, 3-0.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Buhner Jr. told the Bel Air Daily.
