Miguel Benavides did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Chicago Eclipse from being beaten, 7-5, to the Maple Marauders at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Benavides was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Paul Blevins earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 3-2. Ron Elliott earned the save for Maple, his 2nd of the year.

The Maple dugout showed signs of unrest at times. But the Marauders put this one in the win column with some good pitching and some timely hitting at critical moments.
