The Chippewa River Chiefs had to overcome a good performance from Moose Jaw pitcher Brad Karel to claim a 3-0 win at The Nut House. Karel went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Chippewa has run its win streak to 6 straight.
Chippewa won the game in part because of Mike Devine. The second baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the River Chiefs ahead, 2-0. For the game, Devine had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
