Victory Pushes Lake Monsters Record to 44-37
|
The 2043 season is getting ugly for Charleston.
Okanagan rode a good effort from starter Chris Nairne to beat the Charleston Panthers at Franklin Mountains Field. The final score was 7-1. Okanagan has now won 3 straight, while the Panthers have lost 4 in a row.
Okanagan used the bat of Ray Tracy to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lake Monsters ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Winning is contagious," said Tracy. "We're looking forward to the next game."
